Explore the Unreachable
The black bear is approximately 5 to 7 feet from nose to tail, and two to three feet high at the
withers. It has small eyes, rounded ears, a long snout, and can range in color from a light brown
to jet black .  The number of cubs in a litter is generally 2 and are born in January or early
February. The tracks are slightly pigeon-toed and the heel pad of the rear foot is long and
vaguely resembles that of a human. Five toes with equally long claws are evenly spaced along
the top of the foot.
